MAAP New Season Training Collection Launches

The second drop of MAAP’s new look Training collection offers a complete range of on and off-bike items for riders seeking kit as dependable as their desire to push their boundaries. Products designed to meet the urge to get up and get it, without fail, to the untrained observer this devotion seems unnatural, to us it’s anything but.

Whether it be iconic city park laps or the old faithful local spot, daily trips to our hallowed training grounds provide familiarity whilst we continually work to be better than the day before, these are our natural habitats. The updated Training collection seeks to compliment this pursuit of progression with apparel that is ready built for the grind. Rinse, repeat and go again.

At the forefront of the collection is the Training Jersey, a durable everyday performance training partner, available in short and long-sleeved thermal variants and cut to our signature team fit – a slightly more relaxed option that leaves you space to completely focus on the session ahead. Manufactured with one eye firmly on our sustainability goals, the jersey uses bluesign® certified methods and is constructed using a lightweight, ultra-soft knitted Italian fabric comprising at least 70% recycled materials. Breathable and moisture-wicking, the jersey offers SPF50+ sun protection, reflective graphics for added visibility and a zip stash pocket.

MAAP co-founder Oliver Cousins, said: “There’s always going to be more that we can do to realise a net-positive environmental impact as a business. Which can be intimidating. But the most important thing is we don’t let that hold us back from making progress – everyday, we will continue to move towards a world where we’re doing more good than harm for the planet and wild outdoor places we all love to ride. This new Training collection is a step in that direction with our Training jersey utilising bluesign certified methods and a lightweight, ultra-soft knitted Italian fabric comprising at least 70% recycled materials. Real change accumulates over time, we’re committed to seeing it happen.”

Alongside the Training Jersey sits the MAAP Training Bib 3.0, an ideal balance of comfort, performance and durability. Tried and tested by thousands of cyclists through untold numbers of hill repeats and turbo sessions, this is a bib designed to hold up through day in, day out use and abuse. An ergonomically engineered dual-density chamois is matched with a 4-way stretch fabric for optimal shape retention, moisture wicking and breathability, while seam-free bib straps and silicone grippers ensure a secure fit from your first interval to your last.

Cross-training is taken care of by the new Women’s Sequence and Everyday Short, the same cut applied to two distinct items. Sequence fuses form, function and style to take activewear to the next level, a strapless cycling short with a medium density, female specific chamois perfectly matched for spin classes and casual riding without unnecessary bulk for when you’re off the bike. The Everyday Short takes the technical construction and fit of the sequence whilst omitting the chamois, resulting in a comfortable all-day short that’s just as comfortable hitting the gym as it is keeping it casual.

Hard work is only half of the battle, recover in comfort with the off-bike Training Crew, Tee and Sweat Short. Oversized street style combined with technical fabrics make these the go-to items for keeping it casual or heading to your next session. Both the Training Crew and Sweat Short feature a brushed back fleece lining for a cosy skin feel and thermal retention, while the Training Tee is lightweight and features odour-resistant tech to keep you cool and fresh.
